CPTTM'S STUDENT WON A BRONZE METAL IN 38TH WORLDSKILLS COMPETITION |

The 38th
WorldSkills Competition was held in Heisinki, Finland in 2005.

Its aim is to provide an opportunity to the worldwide youth professionals to compete against their professional skills and to exchange their experience. The Labour Affairs Bureau has selected 8 teenagers in Macau to participate in 8 separate projects in this competition. Among those projects, CPTTM is responsible for the project of "Web Design". Result : The Macau representative, Chan Chi Chon, who is the student of CPTTM, has got excellent result in the 38th WorldSkills Competition - The bronze metal in the project of "Web Design". He has beaten down the representatives from many countries and districts, obtained the best result among the Macau representatives and gained honors for Macau. CPTTM, appointed by The Labour Affairs Bureau for training and selecting the participants, is very satistfied with the result. With this award, CPTTM hopes to further raise the level of professional skills in Macau and to encourage more youth to work harder for their brilliant future. The Labour Affairs Bureau is responsible to send out 8 youths under age 22 to participate in 8 separate projects of the 38th WorldSkills Competition. The Labour Affairs Bureau appointed CPTTM to select and train the representatives of Macau for the "Web Design" project. Under the patient training by Mr. Simon Tam and Herbert Choi, experts of web design in CPTTM, the participants have made significant improvement on skills, knowledge and concepts after strict training on web design for several months. Mr. Chan, who is selected as the representative as acknowledged by the Labour Affairs Bureau, joined the "Web Design" project in the 38th WorldSkills Competition on 21st May in Heisinki, Finland.
