Nowadays, AJAX is a very popular
Internet application development technology. e.g. When you use Yahoo
mail or Gmail, as you are typing in the "Recipient e-mail address" box,
it will automatically show up a pop-up list showing all the
corresponding email addresses. This effect is generated by AJAX.
CPTTM held a workshop on 21st Sep 2006 (Thursday) 3:00pm-5:00pm at
Cyber Lab (Rua Comandante Mata Oliveira Ed. Associao industrial,3-andar
Macau),which was named "Hands-on workshop on Developing an ASP.NET app
with AJAX & Web Service using Borland Developer Studio 2006". In
this workshop, we invited Mr. Terence Chow, technical consultant of
Borland (HongKong) to show the participants how to use Borland
Developer Studio 2006 on creating object models for business entities
visually, using AJAX to access Open Resource (e.g. Google Map) , using
Web services to aggregate information from different sources and
connecting to a database by using BDP (Borland Data Provider) etc and
let them to have a lab to perform the tasks.
