| CHINESE INPUT
COMPETITION FOR JOURNALISTS |

|
After the handover of Macau, Chinese
becomes increasingly important. Since Chinese is one of the official
languages used in Macau SAR, many small and large organizations use
Chinese when writing their documents. Therefore, Chinese is becoming
more familiar in Macau. Journalists in Macau need to make good use of
their time in order to be competitive and time is very valuable for
them. Therefore, besides knowing how to type
Chinese character, typing speed is also very important as they need to
type lots of documents in Chinese Character. At this moment, knowing how
to type Chinese character quickly and accurately becomes very important. Due to the above
factors, CPTTM , Macau Journalists Association, DSTE and ITEA together
organized "Chinese Input competition for Journalists" on 24 April, 2004
and was held in CPTTM – CyberLab. The objective of this competition is
to enhance the Chinese character input knowledge of journalists and
encourage them to improve their typing speed and skill. The competition
will be divided into two groups—Group A "Publication workers" and Group B" Professional
journalists". The Awarding Ceremony
was held on 26 April, 2004 in CPTTM headquarter. All the prizes were
sponsored by Mr. Lionel Leong, the President of Seng San
Enterprises LTD . It’s our honor to invite the following
guests to give out the prizes : |
