Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) is the next version of Software Update Service (SUS).
It has the following advantages over SUS :
1) More products can be updated by WSUS, including : Microsoft Windows, Office, Exchange and SQL and even more in the future.
2) WSUS can test if a certain update is suitable for a certain computer. Then, the Administrator can decide the next action.
3) Deploy certain updates to a selected group of computers only.
4) Reporting - Update status of client computers is avaialbe at a glimpse.
5) Backup and restore of the update contents.
