Need free network security tools?

If you are looking for network secuirty tools like : sniffers, vulnerability assessment tools etc. Here is a great site for you. It lists out 100 top free network security tools for your choice. For each of them, there is a short description. Have a look at : http://sectools.org/

Need hard disk usage analysis?

Some time you may find that the hard disk of a computer is running out of space and you would like to find out which folders are taking up the most space. For Linux, you may use the "du" command to check. For Windows, I would recommend a free interactive disk usage analysis tool to you: "Overdisk". It will analyze the hardisk and then display a Graphical chart to show the usage of the hard disk, like :

C drive usage

When you point to different portions, it will display the name of the folder, the space it has taken up , the no. of directories and files inside. Very useful.

VMX Utilities

Everyone knows that VMWare provide free tools VMWare Server and VMWare Player. We use them on our office and training area widely. But for the VMWare player, it doesn't provide the function to create and manage the vmx and virtual disk files. It's trouble to create them manually. Certainly, you can use VMWare Workstation but it's not a free solution. There are still many free tools available. We found the following tools can help us a lot.

VMware Utilities
You can find some utiltities to create vmx files and some great tools for virtual disks. They are designed with GUI. Easy to use. http://petruska.stardock.net/Software/VMware.html

EasyVMX
A great webpage which can generate vmx and virtual disk files online. You don't need to install anything. Also some advanced feature settings are able to configure.
