CPTTM always dedicate to promote free software. Since 2001, we have conducted many training courses about Linux operating system. The aim is to impel the use of Linux operating system to Macau IT field. Altogether we have trained over 180 IT personnel to know about Linux.

CPTTM held a free workshop on evening of 27th October at CyberLab. We have invited Mr. Robert Chan, Senior Engineer, Sunwah Linux  to demonstrate the installation & configuration of Sun Wah Linux Desktop edition<Sun Wah RAYS LX Desktop Edition> and arranged a practice to let the participants to experience the convenience of its installation & configuration.

Below are the main advantages of Sun Wah RAYS LX Desktop Edition:

1. At the same time support to display Traditional and Simplied Chinese, Portugal and Unicode characters, the HK Supplementary Character Set.

2. Comparing to other Linux systems, the installation is easier - implementing "3 click installation"
