Nowadays, modern companies depend a lot on the Internet for their business. Their staffs  often need to access the Internet to look for information or promote their business etc.

On the other hands, the staffs may access other unnecessary web sites. This may slow down the productivity of the company if the staffs spend a lot of time on browsing web sites for their own goodness. Further, there are a lot harmful web sites on the Internet, if someone accesses such web sites, his computer may get infected. How to prevent internal staffs from browsing unnecessary web sites? Asking the staffs to behave themselves does not work well. To prevent this, one of the effective methods is to implement "Web Filtering". You can control which sets of web sites that can be accessed and block all the others. Or, just block a pre-defined list of web sites and allow all the others. You can also monitor and log down which web sites the staffs have accessed. This will affect the privacy of the staffs and should be conducted under the consent of them.

CPTTM held a workshop on 31st March which is named “Workshop - Protecting your Organization from Outbound Risk with Web filtering tool” on 31st March,  from 14:30 to 17:30 at CyberLab.
